I learned how to be a producer when...

I was born. I am the youngest of 12. Collaboration and communication were a matter of survival. Then, it was negotiating over Rice Krispies and the remote, now it’s putting the perfect package together whether that’s Director picks, celebrity talent or foreign locations.  

 

My creativity and resilience were on display when... 

​

I was working in Europe and my twelve cars did not clear customs for our shoot. We were dead. Until I pulled the rip cord and decided to buy 12 Euro spec cars and redo them to read as US on camera. I expense meals, travel and European cars.  

 

You can always count me to... 

​

Be ready for whatever the day brings. And have everyone’s coffee order taken the night before. It’s called world-class production, people.

 

My hidden talent is.... 

​

Making people laugh. I have other talents, but they are actually hidden until I need them.

 

I surprise people when... 

​

I tell them I had a sewing needle in the bottom of my foot for 25 + years and had no idea it was there. 

 

The best advice I ever got was... 

​

Be interested and interesting. I am nothing if not those. It has proven to be a great life principle. 

 

You would never guess but...

I am a total softie. 

 

I thrive when... 

​

There is utter chaos and the way forward is unclear. I find a path.

 

When I was a kid I...

​

Won the sidewalk chalk contest.  The grand prize was a summer of classes at The Art Institute of Chicago.  It remains my favorite museum in the world.
